Shish kabobs.

Hear me out on this.

I’ve been somewhat MIA lately on this here site (that everyone should subscribe to and follow on twitter).  I want to blame it on working retail over the holiday weekend, but let’s face it: my summer has been colored with varying shades of putzing around.

I have ideas flashing through my mind that need to be put on paper. But do I? No, I take a nap.  I have piles of exciting books to read. But do I? No, I read awful fanfiction for hours on end.

I photoshop new wallpapers for my computer that I’ll never use.  I online shop for thing I’ll never buy.  I’ll catch up on The A-Team TV show because, let’s face it, it’s about time over 20 years later.

But last night, I embarked on a new adventure: knitting.  No one in my family knits (well, it turns out my grandmother used to knit, but I only found out after I started), so we have no knitting needles. Luckily we had some leftover yarn from my mother’s past life as a weaver.

So what’s my solution? Shish kabobs.  They’re so thin they make my hands hurt, and my scarf is about one inch in length on one end of the needle, and about an inch and a half on the other side.  But I’m knitting,  I’m knitting, I knit, I’m a knitter, I knit!
