I could just do the simple thing (avoiding all the worries of childbearing and later child-caring) and hit up MorphThing.com to just digitally figure this whole thing out, but I can’t seem to get myself to actually upload our pictures. Somehow, it seems like cheating.
In my mind I’ve gone as far as to start a list of baby names… knowing that I can’t exactly go too far off the beaten track as my guy HATES unusual baby names, citing that they only lead children to feel like “outsiders”.
Last night I spoke to one of my old college roommates and she commented on how strange it is how each of us seems to make a step toward what another roommate has recently stepped away from, deciding to take on a career that another has recently abandoned.
Ever feel like you just don’t have enough clothes in your closet?
Or you do, but dammit, you’ve worn everything and could really just use a change?
For those of us in our 20s, do we even know what a traditional family unit looks like anymore? Most of us are focused on our careers at this point, and when it comes time for the husband or wife and kids, what will the family of the future be like?
It is July 28, 2009. I could be a writer or a web developer. A career woman or a housewife. Gay or straight. Male or female. I am all of these things. I am none of these things.
