Two Amazing women make me thankful

The breaking news of the American Journalists landing on US soil was the headline of this mornings news. Listening to the radio this morning, I was over come with emotion listening to Lisa Ling speak of the joy in being reunited with her sister Laura Ling. I also was extremely moved to actually see the reunion on TV, to watch Euna Lee reunited with her 4 year old daughter is something I will not soon forget.

For those who are unfamiliar with this story, a quick recap- 140 days ago while out in the field, Laura Ling & Euna Lee (under circumstances that have yet been discussed) found themselves over the north Korean border. They were taken into North Korean custody, where they were detained & recently had been sentenced to 12 years in a hard labor camp.
Thanks to Al Gore & Bill Clinton, after negations that one can only imagine, Bill Clinton went to North Korea yesterday to speak wih Kim Jong II. And yesterday these two woman were pardoned.

These two amazing woman Laura Ling and Enua Lee have taught me something today. They have taught me that the ability to survive under un-believable circumstances is something possible. Their courage is something I admire. Their strength is humbling. It makes me put a perspective on the day to day things we take for granted, like sitting in traffic, sleeping in a bed, talking on a cell phone, eating what we want, having nothing to wear in the morning and simply kissing our loved ones.
This story this morning touched my heart and my soul. It has made me so thankful for all that i have. I hope that you take the time today to appreciate what you have.
